Team Villagia

Villagia is first and foremost about WORRY FREE living. The building is set up to be very functional, with colors that well suit private and group living. But it's the staff that makes the difference. They sole purpose and priority is to ensure that residents are guaranteed a comfortable, safe, versatile and enjoyable living environment. Meet our staff:

Diane Archambault, general manager
Mrs. Diane Archambault is a veteran of 15 years in the early retirement and senior living residential complex industry where she has held varied executive management positions. Her forte is by far her exceptional skills in customer service. Her organizational and communication expertise in turn, facilitate her efforts to exceed resident expectations in the creation of a luxurious and comfortable living environment. All of this is accomplished while maintaining the residents’ strong sense of being “at HOME” in the privacy of their condos or apartments. Mrs. Archambault uses her thorough attention to details, to assure that all security and operational standards are met and even exceeded. Her drive and initiative are in the forefront of the “LIVELY” ambience experienced at Villagia. Akin to a maestro, she orchestrates the culture, leisure, recreation, exercise and relaxation activities. Over and above, she shares this PASSION FOR SERVICE with her colleagues, encouraging them to put forward their unique abilities and talents in the achievement of a superior QUALITY OF LIFE at Villagia. Her vast experience in the field has given her the opportunity to supervise all aspects of construction, from architectural plans, commitment to deadlines, all the way to final completion of the project. Through all this, she takes scrupulous pride in finishing what she has started, always sustaining the respect and collaboration of residents and personnel alike.

Denis Perillo, executive chef
For Chef Perillo, cooking never has—nor ever will be—a JOB, but rather a pleasure. His European diplomas merely recognized his passion for fine harmony among various foods and flavours as well as different approaches that later led him to North American working environments. Tribute was paid to him by “Fondation Gérard Delage” in 2000, here in Canada, and he was named “Maître de la gastronomie pour le Canada” by the “Conseil des Echansons de France”, and more recently (April 2008), he was honoured by the “Académie Culinaire de France”. At Villagia, in Chef Perillo’s kitchen, he holds important keys to WORRY FREE LIVING: exquisite food; a diversified, balanced menu; and meals made to order, where he can even use fine herbs grown by the residents and then entrusted to his great culinary talents.

Philippe Fiel, sommelier
A graduate of the France Hotel Management School and then Captain Waiter over a number of years for reputed cruise lines across Europe, Philippe has travelled mainly in Switzerland, Germany and Luxemburg. He pursued his training further to become a Sommelier (wine steward) and decided to move to Canada where, for the past 28 years, he has been working in major restaurants in Montreal like La Mère Michelle, L’Impromptu and Le Carpaccio as well as Chez Robert et compagnie. He has now accepted to be the Captain Waiter of the Villagia dining room and food services.

Éric Smith, ProVitalia services manager
Éric Smith held many different jobs in the construction field in Canada and in the United States before devoting his efforts to his career as a licensed practical nurse. This change came about with his new role of young father at home. After working 2 years at “Cité de la Santé de Laval” hospital, he succeeded in distinguishing himself for the quality of his work. Despite his young age, he joined the ProVitalia team as Assistant Head Nurse. Recognized for his good humour and words of encouragement, Éric appreciates being able to help the residents. Filled with dignity and respect, his assistance is always driven by his unique human approach towards the clientele.

Activities & Events Coordinators
Our Coordinators will take charge of the activities and various services at Villagia. With their experience in activity leadership and cultural research from different backgrounds, their expertise in the fields of mobilization, job coaching, interpersonal communication, conflict management, community response to crisis management and first aid are exhaustive. Villagia and its residents can count on them to plan, organize and lead activities, provide transportation, receive special requests and then handle them.
